我們不僅是上教會去敬拜(go to church),更是成為教會(become the church),是一個屬於神的群體。

The Worship Service as a Path of Blessing

Our God delights in our worship of Him, and His desire is that all nations and peoples would worship Him. From the moment we come to faith, we receive a blessed life. Throughout our lives, each weekly worship service is a journey of blessing, which is reflected in different parts of our worship services:

The Blessing of Community—Gathering and Welcome

Corporate worship is a collective expression of reverence toward God. We do not merely “go to church.“ Rather, we “become the church,” a community that belongs to God. God builds us up through the community, so that together we may bear witness to His glory. When pastors and ministry leaders come forward to welcome the congregation on behalf of the church, it is to gather our hearts to worship together and to receive His grace together. “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage” (Psalm 84:5).

The Blessing of God’s Call—Call to Worship in Song and Scripture

As the choir processes in singing and as we join in the call to worship in song, we experience God’s gracious invitation through the song. He calls us into His fold and summons us to worship Him together week by week. The call to worship in Scripture that follows opens God’s word to us, graciously calling us and illuminating our lives. This is the blessing for every pilgrim. “Then the angel said to me, ‘Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’” (Revelation 19:9a).

The Blessing of Praise—Songs and Prayer

In response to the LORD’s gracious call, we release our praise to Him together, declaring His grace toward us, acknowledging His lordship over our lives, and surrendering ourselves to His glorious grace. “Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD” (Psalm 89:15).

The Blessing of Remembrance—The Communion

The monthly communion directs our hearts to remember His redeeming grace and to look forward to His return. “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him” (Psalm 34:8).

The Blessing of God’s Word—Scripture Reading and Preaching

As we draw near to the Lord, our hearts are prepared to listen to His holy word. “Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers” (Proverbs 16:20a). “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them” (John 13:17).

The Blessing of Acceptance—Offering

During the time of offering, the Lord is pleased with our offering of financial gifts as well as the offering of our lives with sincerity. “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

The Blessing of Being Sent—Family News and Commissioning

From sharing the mission to benediction and commissioning, we are prepared to continue to live out our faith as a living sacrifice after the worship service. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:15b).

At the beginning of the worship service, we are called by grace. At the end of the worship service, we are sent out by grace. “You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out” (Deuteronomy 28:6). To be able to participate in worship services—from beginning to end—is truly our blessing!
