最近，人工智能（AI）的發展快速得叫人驚歎，甚至有些迷惘。當這股科技浪潮鋪天蓋地襲來，基督徒該如何面對？我們當然不能盲目跟風，反要在神的智慧中，主動將 AI 轉化為我們「靈性成長」的助力；同時我們也要保持敏銳的警醒，避免因過度依賴 AI 而失去信仰最核心的生命連結。

科技對信仰的幫助絕對不僅止於預備查經或搜集資料等事務。腓立比書一 9-10 說：「要你們的愛心在知識和各樣見識上多而又多，使你們能分別是非，作誠實無過的人」。靈性的成熟需要見識的擴展，AI 能成為打破我們思維盲點的夥伴。查考聖經時，它可以提供不同神學傳統的屬靈洞見，挑戰我們跳出習慣的思考框架；當生命陷入樽頸時，我們也能透過與它對話梳理混亂的思緒。AI 可成為神賜下的一面鏡子，激發我們內心對真理的渴望，幫助我們與神建立更深的連結。

不過，AI 再強，仍是受造之物。神造人，賜給我們靈魂、情感、自由意志、以及與祂相交的能力，這絕非任何 AI 大模型能複製的。我們可以使用 AI，卻不可高舉它超過創造主。以賽亞曾質問：「你們究竟將誰比神，用甚麼形像與神比較呢？」（賽四十 18）我們若把 AI 當作心靈導師、人生顧問，甚至禱告的對象，那就塑造了無形的偶像。AI 能寫出撫慰人心的文字，卻無法流出一滴同理的眼淚；AI 能分析出最貼切的安慰語句，卻無法代替我們給予弟兄姊妹一個真實的擁抱與陪伴。當科技使世界變得越來越便利，真實的傾聽與同行反而成了這時代最珍貴的基督徒見證。

AI 生成的內容有時真假難辨，甚至可能會被用來傳播謊言和異端。所以，如何分辯 AI 的內容是至關重要。我們不能不加分辯就接受 AI 的資訊，而是要「心意更新而變化 ⋯⋯ 察驗何為神的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意」（羅十二 2）。每天花時間讀經、禱告、默想，明白神的心意與智慧，讓真理內化為生命，我們才能有屬靈的洞察力，分辨出一切虛假。

弟兄姊妹，「轉化智能」是神給我們這世代的屬靈操練。不論未來的科技如何更迭，願我們都能在這個 AI 時代中，活出最有溫度也最真實的生命。盼望我們抱持著不懼怕、不迷戀、不懶惰的態度，以一顆敬畏神的心，將每一份科技智能轉化為屬靈的祝福，把榮耀歸給那惟一的智慧源頭——我們的主耶穌基督！

  Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have been so rapid that they leave us amazed and even somewhat bewildered. As this overwhelming wave of technology sweeps across the world, how should Christians respond? We certainly must not follow the trend blindly. Instead, with wisdom from God, we should proactively transform AI into an aid to our “spiritual growth.” At the same time, we must remain discerning and vigilant, lest excessive dependence on AI cause us to lose the vital relationship that lies at the very heart of our faith.

  Technology’s contribution to our faith certainly extends far beyond practical tasks such as preparing Bible studies or gathering information. Philippians 1:9-10 says, “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless.” Spiritual maturity requires a broadening of our insight, and AI can become a partner that helps us uncover the blind spots in our thinking. When studying the Bible, it can offer spiritual insights from different theological traditions, challenging us to move beyond our habitual frameworks of thought. When we encounter bottlenecks in life, conversing with it may also help us untangle our confused thoughts. AI can become a mirror provided by God, awakening within us a longing for truth and helping us build a deeper relationship with Him.

  However powerful AI may be, it remains a created thing. God creates man and gives us souls, emotions, free will and the capacity to have fellowship with Him. None of these can ever be replicated by any large AI model. We may use AI, but we must never exalt it above God the Creator. Isaiah once asked, “With whom, then, will you compare God? To what image will you liken him?” (Isaiah 40:18). If we treat AI as a spiritual mentor, an adviser for life or even an object of prayer, we are fashioning an invisible idol. AI can compose comforting words, but it cannot shed a single tear of empathy. AI can identify the most appropriate words of consolation, but it cannot take our place in offering brothers and sisters our genuine embrace and companionship. As technology makes the world increasingly convenient, truly listening to and walking alongside others have, by contrast, become some of the most precious forms of Christian witness in our time.

  At times, it can be difficult to distinguish truth from falsehood in AI-generated content, which may even be used to spread lies and heresies. It is therefore vitally important that we learn to discern the content AI produces. We must not accept information from AI uncritically. Rather, we are to “be transformed by the renewing of [our] mind. Then [we] will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2). Only by spending time each day reading Scripture, praying and meditating, learning to understand God’s heart and wisdom, and allowing the truth to become part of our lives can we develop the spiritual insight needed to discern every falsehood.

  Brothers and sisters, “transforming intelligence” is a spiritual discipline that God has given to our generation. However technology may continue to evolve in the future, may we live lives of the greatest warmth and authenticity in this age of AI. May we approach it without fear, infatuation or laziness, but with hearts that revere God, transforming every form of technological intelligence into a spiritual blessing and giving glory to the one and only source of wisdom—our Lord Jesus Christ!
